Everything slow down

I am still building up the army. All the resources of 4 of my villages is used for it. So, everything is slow down in these days.

In the mean time, i have sent a IGM (In game message) to the attacker, telling him that i don't want to fight with him by using all of my armies, as there is no benefit for both of us. And the attack is stopped now (finally), which he never knows that i only have a very few number of army at the time i sent him the message :-p

7th village founded

Finally, the 7th is founded 3 days ago. Oh, one funny thing, i have again forget to construct the Rally Point for the settlers to move to the new village ^^"

My first 3 villages are attacked by a massive force, and all the defenders are KIA ^^~ Hopefully, more attackers are killed at the same time, so, it seems that the attack is stopped by now.

So, i have to rebuild my defensive forces now (it may need 10 days), i think i have to build a stronger army this time to scare the others :-P~

7 hours travel time

The 7 hours travel time to my 6th village drive me crazy ^^~

I have a bad plan last night, and there is not enough resources to construct the level 10 Residence. I need 7 more hours to transfer the resource now! OMG~

Another problem is that almost all the Merchants are working now, and i still need more Merchants ^^~

1000 culture point?

As expected, the 6th village is difficult to construct a Residence. I have just started the level 1 Residence now. It seems that I need 1-2 more days to found another village ^^~

I have heard from a good player that we can have 1000 culture point for each village everyday. Oh, how can it be? my highest culture point village is only 600 ~@@~

6th village after 3 days

The 6th village is founded for 3 days.

Now, the village can store 9600 resources and 6300 crop, the resource fields are at the level of 5 in average. I think it is a good progress.

But i have encountered a problem, each time i send resources to the villages, the Merchants cannot come back until 15 hours. That makes the Merchants very demanding for all of my villages. So, I plan to build a Trade office, it is also good for gain more culture points. (And it is the first time i need to destroy a building to construct a new one ^^)

Another new village can be founded in coming 3 days, i think i will construct a Residence in the 6th village, i am worrying that i need to send a lot of resource to the 6th village to build the Settler, it is my calculation:
1 Settler resource need: 5500 + 7000 + 5300 + 4900 = 22700
3 Settler resource need: 22700 x 3 = 68100
As 1 Merchant can carry 750 resource, thus, i need 68100 / 750 = 91 Merchants count

Don't forget that every Merchant need to run 15 hours for each journey. My guess i need 2-3 days working on that matter, as i cannot 24 hours online in those coming days ^^~

6th village founded

The 6th village is founded! Since this village is too far from the others (reason here), 15 hrs for the Merchants to go and come back @@" So, i have made a little adjustment building up this village.

My plan is to build Warehouse and Granary first, of course, with enough Cropland to support the food. (I always forget to consider the food support while planning the buildings ^^") And then the Merchants bring resources to the new village, build up the resources fields as soon as possible.

Assuming that no one will raid the village (This area is supposed to be relatively safe ^^), i will not build Cranny at this moment. Normally, i will build one 10 level Cranny in each village.

Settlers! Run!

Good News for me, I have sent the settlers to found a new village yesterday ^^

Ah, but the settlers need to travel 1.5 days to reach the new village (it is still running to the spot ^^~). Why? This is the decision made by the alliance.

Since my start village is located near the central zone, which is usually a dangerous area. My team leader told us to move our base to the outer zone.

That means i will have 2 groups of villages now. My plan is to make the existing villages in the battle zone heavily guarded. When they are in good condition, they can send resources to my new base - the outer zone's villages. All my new villages will now build at the outer zone.

For the outer zone, with some help from the battle zone's villages, it is hoped that i can develop the villages as soom as possible! In fact, i am worrying about that will slow down my development, but i think the alliance is right to make this decision in the long run!

My example has shown that choosing a suitable area to develop is very important. But most of the time, it is also related to the alliance's development direction! So, know your alliance is very important too ^^

Gain more culture point

I have made a study on the relation between the resources used to construct a building and the culture point.

Let me explain about the statistics, the columns:

  • Acc Res is accumulated resources to construct a building of the specified level (i.e. sum of all previous levels)
  • CP is the culture point at that level
  • Acc Res/CP is the resources needed to gain 1 culture point
I just show the buildings at level 5, 10, 15, 20, to simplify the list. By sorting the Acc Res/CP, we can see that at level 5, Main building is the most efficient to gain culture point, and then Marketplace and so on, you can find the order in the list ^^

So, the best bet for culture-point-first village, you should have Main Building, Marketplace, Academy and Embassy. For Cranny, i think it depends, through it is very cost efficient, you only get 6 culture point for level 10 Cranny ^^"

My villages first visit

Let me say something about my villages. I have played this account for about 6 months, i have got 5 villages now, the 6th will be founded in these 2 days. (i wish ^^)

This is a lucky account, as i have joined an up-growing alliance at the very beginning (which i have just chosen this alliance randomly). And Yes, joining a good alliance is the MOST important thing for travian!

I played this account in some sense that i am a sim player ^^ since i cannot use all my life to play this game :-D I try to control myself just playing 1 hour per day for this account.

My top priority now is to found new villages as soon as possible. The first 4 villages have already built Townhall, so that i have 2000 culture points per day by the party. I also construct buildings with high culture point vs resources ratio first. (I have made a study about that ratio, let me present the information later. But this is a summary: Main Building, Marketplace, Academy and Embassy, build to level 20, are the most efficient for getting the culture point)

My team leader said that if i have done every thing right, i can build a new village in every 8 days. By follow his instruction, it seems that it really works ^^ (before my team leader advise, i usually think i need about 20 days for a new village ^^")

Oh, btw, one more thing, i think i cannot disclose the information about my account here, as this will place my alliance and my villages in great danger, so, please don't ask ^^

Travian

I must say that i am not a pro of travian, but i am actually a student learning travian instead. That's why i open this blog, i would like to share what i experienced via that travian game, and try to learn more through out the process.

Ok, just in case you don't know what is travian, (so, why are you come to this blog? :-p) it is an online war game played via a web browser.
